Yes. Hiring one of our USCG-licensed captains and crew is required for bareboat charters and available as an add-on for fully crewed charters, starting at an additional $150/hour for large vessels.

For bareboat charters, rental of the vessel itself is included. Crewed charters include the captain and crew. Fuel, catering, and other incidentals are charged separately.

Most bareboat charters have a maximum capacity limit of 12 passengers due to Coast Guard regulations. If your group size exceeds 12 guests, we have a couple options:

  1. Book your event as a specialty cruise, for which we can provide a dedicated certified vessel approved to handle larger groups of up to 300 passengers.
  2. Book multiple vessels to accommodate your group across 2 or more boats departing together. For example, for a group of 18, we could book two boats with 9 passengers each touring in tandem.

This allows larger parties to stay together while complying with capacity limits. Please inquire with us about availability and pricing for either a single specialty vessel charter or multiple bookings for large groups. We will make sure your entire party is accommodated comfortably.
